Injectors in combustion engines deliver fuel into the combustion chamber under high pressure. As engines are downsized, injectors today must withstand very high pressures and operate with precision.

Common manufacturing methods for injector components are seat and bore grinding. The challenge with these grinding applications is the very small tool dimensions, which must nonetheless enable high-precision, economical grinding.
