In face and double-face grinding of bearing components, parallelism, flatness, and surface quality are the central concerns. Inner and outer rings as well as rolling elements are machined on both sides to reliably maintain tight tolerances at high volumes. Simultaneous grinding of both end faces reduces non-productive time and minimizes re-clamping errors.

Double-face grinding wheels are designed for series and high-volume production. A matched combination of grain type, bond, and pore structure ensures stable material removal with controlled heat generation. Segmented designs support coolant supply and provide consistent cutting ability over defined dressing intervals.

EHWA wheels are used for face grinding of inner and outer rings of rolling bearings, cylindrical rollers, tapered rollers, and needles, on vertical and horizontal double-disc grinding machines.

CBN double-face grinding wheel tool life increased by up to 30 % compared to conventional ceramic CBN bond. Dressing interval extended (non-productive time reduced by approx. 20 %), constant flatness < 2 µm, reduced heat input with no grinding burn.
