Alongside standard tools, EHWA manufactures special designs such as OKD circular saws, support rulers, and diamond measuring probes to customer specification.

Cutting materials

PCD

Production: diamond particles and metal powder are sintered under high pressure and high temperature. PCD is more impact-resistant than natural diamond, extremely hard, and has a very high removal rate. Hardness 50 – 70 HV.

Application areas: non-ferrous metals, aluminum and copper alloys, composite materials, wood, and others.

PCBN

Production: CBN grains and metal powder are sintered under high pressure and high temperature. CBN grain is an artificially produced synthetic material, extremely hard – only diamond is harder – and has higher thermal stability than diamond (up to 1000 °C). Enables significantly higher stock allowances and cutting speeds than conventional cutting tools. Hardness 30 – 40 HV.

Application areas: ferrous materials, various cast alloys, hardened steel, high-alloy steel grades.

EHWA additionally manufactures ceramic-based cutting materials – produced in a special sintering process with higher wear resistance and toughness than conventional ceramics, suited to roughing and finishing cast iron – as well as a coated CBN grade with high toughness and wear resistance for bearing steel and hardened steel grades in continuous and interrupted cuts.
