Consider the application and tool together

The stone documents cover block processing, cutting and profiling through to the finished surface. EHWA presents tools for granite, marble and other stones as well as corresponding engineered-stone applications. The operation and material structure determine the selection.

This edited overview provides an introduction to the tool family. Complete original tables and illustrations remain accessible through the source links. You can move from the described operation directly to a technical discussion of your application.

Tool features and benefits

Economical processing connects cut quality and tool life with throughput. In surface finishing, each tool stage has a specific task: removing material, refining the surface or developing the desired gloss. A suitable sequence can reduce rework and support a uniform appearance.

From your application to a tooling solution

A material sample or exact commercial designation helps selection. Please state slab thickness, feed concept, cooling and the current tool sequence. For profiling, the drawing, radius and desired visible edge are important. The originals contain the associated geometries and dimensions.

Start with the information already available. An existing tool, a photo or a drawing is often a useful starting point. Also discuss your goal: replacing an existing design, improving surface quality or reducing tool changes and machining time. Comparisons record quality, time and useful output together; missing information can be added during the technical discussion.
