History

1975 – Ehwa Diamond IND. CO., LTD. is founded in Seoul, Korea.
1985 – The company and its production facility relocate to Osan.
1988 – The Ehwa Institute of Technology is founded.
1990 – Recognized by the President of South Korea for companies with an export volume of more than USD 10 million.
1993 – New production facilities established in Seochun, Korea, and Fujian, China. ISO 9001 certification achieved.
1994 – Award at the precision engineering competition held by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
1995 – Recognized by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy for companies with an export volume of more than USD 50 million.
1997 – The Weihai, China plant is completed.
2001 – Honored as a company with outstanding products in the "machine accessories" category by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
2002 – The Shanghai, China plant is completed. ISO certification upgraded from ISO 9001 to ISO 14001.
2003 – Designated as a Center of Excellence for manufacturing technology research. OSA certification achieved (Organisation for the Safety of Abrasives).
2004 – The sales company "EHWA Europe" is founded, headquartered in Germany (Frankfurt).
2005 – Recognized by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy as a company with an export volume of USD 70 million.
2007 – The Weihai, China production facility achieves OSA certification.
2008 – First in the industry to be recognized by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy as a company with an export volume of USD 100 million.
2009 – Ehwa Diamond Co., Ltd. is admitted to the "10 World Premier Materials" consortium.
2010 – Named "Supplier of the Year" by General Motors.
2011 – Named "Supplier of the Year" by General Motors again. Recognized as a "World-Class Mid-Sized Company" by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Admitted to the "World Class 300" group of companies by the Korean government.
2012 – Named "Supplier of the Year" by General Motors again.
2013 – A new R&D center opens in Dongtan, along with a new sales office in India.
2016 – Named "Preferred Supplier" by Schaeffler AG.
2018 – Named "Preferred Supplier" by Schaeffler AG again.
