EG Series | Glass edge grinding | EHWA metal-bonded diamond grinding wheels

Glass is ubiquitous today and enriches our products with a certain aesthetic as well as visual freedom. This is particularly beneficial in architecture and the automotive sector.

In recent years, the quality requirements for grinding processes have increased significantly along with market demands, leading to the development of different glass types such as single-pane safety glass (tempered glass / ESG), toughened glass, laminated safety glass (VSG), and self-cleaning glass types. In almost all glass products, the edges are ground to final dimensions using diamond grinding wheels.

EHWA is a leader in efficient edge grinding wheels. The EG16 specification is designed for high feed rates and is suitable for grinding tempered and laminated glass. The EG72 specification is a particularly long-lasting specification, specifically suited to machining tempered glass products.

VB Series | Bearing grinding | EHWA vitrified-bonded CBN grinding wheels

Rolling bearings are indispensable in dynamic machine components. They consist of the following main components: inner ring, cage, seal, rolling elements, outer ring. Today, rolling bearings are available in a wide variety of types and sizes.

For quiet, long-lasting operation, the raceways and bores are ground to a high degree of precision. EHWA offers the matching VB Series for this purpose. Our customers value the VB Series for its long tool life, surface quality, and form accuracy on the workpiece. Under certain conditions, a switch from conventional to CBN grinding wheels is possible. Experience has shown that with such conversions, tool costs fall due to reduced non-productive time (dressing, tool changes), and tool life increases significantly.

EHWA offers the right grinding and honing tools for all areas of bearing machining: bore grinding of the inner and outer ring, double-disc surface grinding of the rolling elements, raceway grinding of the inner and outer ring.

New: EHWA cutting tools

EHWA is primarily a worldwide pioneer and technological leader in grinding and dressing tools. In recent years, the importance of ultra-hard cutting tools has also increased significantly. EHWA offers high-quality and economical turning, grooving, and milling tools as well as PCD special manufactures.

HBN – Hybrid Solid CBN is a new EHWA cutting material made of CBN. In terms of hardness and toughness, this cutting material sits between conventional CBN and ultra-hard ceramic, and is well suited to roughing and finishing cast iron.
